Unit arrived without retail packaging, but properly packed in antistatic CPU box. Did not appear to have been installed previously. CPU works great, no problems at all. Sped up my old Pentium 4 PC significantly. If installing this CPU to replace a single core CPU, keep in mind that you will want to upgrade your fan to compensate for the higher heat output.
