5Big, well-made caseMay 28, 2010
By Ryan J. Gertz
Pros:
- SIZE: it's big and this is important when your HTPC is also for gaming and will need big video cards and fans. My GF used a smaller case for her's and couldn't use most aftermarket fans on her CPU.
- AIRFLOW: air flow comes from underneath through screened vents (good way to avoid air mixing when crammed into a stereo cabinet). The fans were ok; I got a bunch of silent 120mm fans and replaced the rear one as well as added one to the front near the intake vent (this removes 2 of the 4 HD slots). There is a stock 140mm fan with speed control that I left in and is the loudest hardware component in there. The noise is still well within HTPC standards though. I also like that the board and power supply have separate compartments with separate ventilation systems.
- AESTHETICS: the front has a clean look. The LCD sucks. I liked that it had a panel that flips down to show the outlets rather than just having them in the front uncovered

Cons:
- LAYOUT and INTERNAL ERGONOMICS: the power supply is on the opposite side of the board compared to most standard towers. I was not ready for this and had to get an extension for an 8-pin power cord since this had to stretch over the entire length of the board. Also, with this setup, I have a mass of cords stretching over the board in the way of airflow and access to the SATA and USB slots at the bottom of the board (something usually easy to get to in towers) is compromised. Also had trouble with HD fitting and having room for power and SATA cords going into this. I'm glad that I only have one drive but something to consider if you want >2 drives for a movie library. All of this isnt unusual for HTPC cases though and considering that this is a relatively large case, it could probably be much worse.

5Exactly as advertisedDec 02, 2009
By M. Walters "M. Walters"
This case was exactly what I thought it was going to be. Well constructed, plenty of room, and all the little things that just make the case easy to work with. The display is poor and remote is tough to use, but I didn't buy the case for either so it doesn't affect me. I recommend this case to a person that needs a large HTPC case for bigger video cards.

5Antec Fusion Remote CaseDec 16, 2010
By Skeptical Consumer
This is an awesome case. The instructions were not as clear as I think they should have been. Had to search the internet and the company web site to find information omitted from the instructins. Inside the space will be cramped if putting in a full ATX motherboard. But it is quiet and sleek looking. It passes the wife requirement test of not looking to mechanical for an HTPC. It looks more like a piece of stereo equipment than a computer.
Be advised that many of the advertised functionalities are not present until you load your operating system and then download the latest software from the companies web site. The enclosed CD did not have the correct version for the eqipment shipped to me.
But overall I think it is a great purchase for an HTPC.

4Good value with some acceptable shortcomingsFeb 28, 2011
By Ludmio Remy
The case positives are: Clean stylish design, relatively good price, future proof (size wise), good noise dampening and cord management features, the large and effective case cooling fans are quiet, the removable filters are a nice touch.

The negatives: The power button is too close to the CD eject button, the front usb port appears to not be working, The LCD display font is ugly and scrolls awkwardly slow(compared to mce 300 by ahanix for example), no flash card ports.

5A+++Nov 05, 2011
By CCtech "jon65"
Pros:
Lots of well thought out space
Excellent air flow
Dead quiet at ~5ft or more (presumed use as Media Center PC)

Cons:
Adding a front fan uses up two of four internal HD spaces
Larger power supplies will present an issue

Detail:
I replaced a Niveus purpose built media center PC case with this case as the Niveus was just too loud and didn't have the capacity to cool my Ceton cable tuner. This Antec Fusion Remote Max has been a huge upgrade in every respect. I added one quiet Sycthe fan to the front to ensure cooling of the PCI cards, set the case fans to low and I can't tell it's running 3 feet away. No more overheat warnings from the Ceton card and much better performance do the the improved thermal management. I went with a 660 Watt Seasonic power supply and it fit like a charm (SS-660KM Active PFC F3).
