Solid CPU FanJul 01, 2010
By Amber Ausley I bought this fan to replace another that I'd been happy with, except for the clip, which never held and caused the fan to fall onto my graphics card once when moving the computer. This fan is held down very solidly, which is great unless you want to remove it often. (It requires a good bit of force to attach the screws to the back panel, so I had to screw it in with the motherboard removed, and pressing from both sides.)
It has a tendency to run on the fast side, for me, at more than 2000rpm on average (often around 2500), and keeps the CPU (Intel Q6600 quad core) within a range of 34-38C unless under load (With the individual cores often showing temps in the 40s), and I haven't yet seen the temp hit 60C. I've only had it during the summer, so it may run cooler during the winter. (Monitored using SpeedFan)
In a case that has 7 different fans running altogether, this one is definitely the noisiest, but it's not obnoxiously loud, and when it does slow down the rpm, it's nicely quiet. (Even running fast, though, it becomes easy to ignore.) The polished silver top is a nice look, and the blue LED matches the rest of my computer. It comes with a thick pad of thermal paste already on it, which I removed and replaced with a thin layer, because in previous experience, the CPU overheated when it was on too thick.
Overall it's a good fan, and keeps the computer at operable temperatures even when running games or multitasking like crazy. Good for the price range, too.

Antec Cpu coolerFeb 06, 2011
By mike The Antec CPU cooler fits nicely in my old Antec 900 case. I just had to bend the one side of the bottom fins, because it was hitting top of some heat pipes on the motherboard. It works great at lowering the temperature of the CPU.
Sweet action for the price!!Sep 19, 2011
By Sean So I was shopping around on alot of other sites and reading product reviews. I saw that the chief complaint about this heat sync was how hard it was to install.
Well, it's not, unless you're lazy/a tard/both.
You do have to pull the mother board, but that's just something a person needs to get used to. That is, if they're going to be building their own stuff and especially over clocking. Show me a liquid cooled manifold that just sticks in place like velcro!
After installation, I decided to get Scotty on the com and tell him to give her 'ell! I got into bios and over clocked the cpu as far as the specs would allow. I was gonna see what this pc could handle!
Anyway, it stayed well below red-line throughout an hour of stress testing. The fan is amazingly quiet too! Very little vibration (almost none).
Yes, it is bulky. Buy a bigger case.
