5Comes in little packetsAug 19, 2011
By J. Wang
Arrived in double ziplock bags. One package contains approximately 20 individually wrapped thermal grease packets.
I got these to install my previous heatsink because my OEM was too low to fit over my RAM (stupid microatx boards)

The thermal grease is white in color, which had me worried for a little bit, but most the reviews were positive so I went ahead to give it a shot.
The grease in the packet needs to be massaged to get an even consistency. There is a small tear-tab to open up the packet, and it's formed so that you can squeeze out of a nozzle at the tip for a more 'precise' application. I use an edge to flatten it out and I'm good.

I used two packets (well one whole one and a dash of the second) to apply a comfortable amount onto the CPU.

Using Realtemp, my idle temps are currently ~36-40. Running Minecraft on full settings I run at ~45. Aion Online on full settings is ~49-54. (As a note, my computer drives two monitors at 1920x1200 resolution on each)

i3 550 with stock cooler OC'd to 3.84GHz, 8GB GSkill 1600.

If you're going to do some serious overclocking on a big system, spend a bit more money on Arctic silver. But if you're like me and have a simple gaming rig, this is more than enough to last you a lifetime.

UPDATE (9/30/11)-
I got tired of my stock cooler's 'whiiinneeee' so I sawed down my RAM's heatsink, and put my OEM back on. This was probably a week after this review. So now...

Current temps:
IDLE: ~32-38
Minecraft: ~38-48
Aion Online: ~48-55

On hot days when the average room temperature is higher, I can expect these temperatures to stay on the higher side of the range.
Going good!

Nothing really special to say about this. It's thermal grease. It works like thermal grease should. The only negative was that once the individual wrapper was opened, I was unable to re-seal it. There are 3 packets of the goo inside, so really not a big deal.

It would've been a little easier to use with a syringe and plunger, but you get what you pay for.

I still recommend this product. Can't beat the price -- and seriously - unless you're into constantly removing and reinstalling your heatsink & chip, then you wont ever need more than one packet anyway.

5Helped put the play back in my PlayStation 3...Nov 22, 2010
By Gauteng
I had an older PS3 with a really noisy fan and hot running issue. I disassembled it, found excess thermal paste from the factory assembly job. I cleaned the heat sinks and chip set surfaces and applied a modest amount of Antec thermal grease in an X pattern. I reassembled the PS3 and tested it - it runs much cooler with the fan operating at a lower level and hardly audible. How much this dramatic improvement can be attributed to a proper assembly job on the chips and how much to the Antec grease, I don't know but the grease clearly works at some level.

4Matches the photo nowFeb 23, 2012

I have purchased this exact sku from here before. Back then, I received a ziplock baggie of maybe eight packets of thermal compound. There was no retail packaging. At first I was disappointed by the generic product, but it worked great, and was an incredible value!

I just received my latest order of the same sku. This time, it arrived exactly as shown. It was a great value before, but now it's just an ok value.

Product works very well for our purposes, though, which is for standard (non-necessarily-overclocked) CPU applications.

3Works, but is not as picturedFeb 16, 2012

It's about 20 little packets of plain, white thermal grease. It is not Antec branded as the product photo shows, though the packets do have the same logo on them as what is seen in teh product photo. I will add a user pic showing what you actually get.
