Hub works, would LOVE to have access to documentation and promised software.Oct 27, 2009

I have four of these hubs and indeed they run VERY VERY well! My only gripe? I'm reading all of these raving reviews (most posted 8/20/09), but I have been unable to get an answer from anyone, ANYWHERE that can point me to the documentation. Even the rave review folks have been unable to contact me (or comment to me) as to WHERE the documentation for this great hub is located?
The fast wonderful hub comes with no paper documentation whatsoever, and the container proudly states: "software download [...]
If any you readers would try out that site, you'll get a FORBIDDEN error. Writing to the single individual that seems to deliver to the states, and I have gotten NO REPLY. So I'm left wondering, WHERE is the "good service" that one of the rave reviews alluded to? Who did they contact? Some of us would like to know so that we can take advantage of some of these features! I would hardly say that missing every single feature listed on the package except the 10 USB ports themselves and not providing any documentation or promised software would preclude this product from a five star review. Or maybe I just have higher expectations of hardware manufacturers that they provide what they promise!
I agree with another of the posters, I rely on seemingly valid random user reviews to help me pick out where I spend my money.
I also like to take FULL advantage of the features of the peripherals I purchase..
According to the cardboard insert, this system has the following unknown (to me) features:
-SOS -Vos (FlashVos) -Volume Management (where do I find it? No docs, even on the cardboard insert!) -Striping - increases the write speed. (Great! How do I access this?) -Mirroring - Improves data availability (Important for a 10 port hub, how to I get this working?) -Flash Duplication (finally, something that's self-explanatory!) -RAIF - Redundant Array of Inexpensive Flash Devices (how do you access or setup an array? No docs!) -RAIT - Redundant Array of Inexpensive Thumb Drives (sounds like "piling on," but I'd be glad to accept this if I had any documentation/software!) SSF - Solid State Flash Array
I'd be glad to retract anything and upgrade my rating of this peripheral to five stars if ANYONE can either email me the software or tell me where to go to get it?
Incidentally, if you want to mount the hub on the underside of your furniture, you can use a Dremel or similar took to slice between the center and the right or left "nubs" on the plastic housing, then use a wire of some sort and screw it down in place. Works great! Hub works great! I just wish that this equipment had any available documentation or software - something that I THINK most would agree is needed to give a full five star rating!

Excellent hub, great price.Jan 04, 2010

"Kill them all, I absolve you."
Great hub, well built, even the removable base is well constructed. I daisy chained my Logitech 4 hub to this device and it works great. 10 ports is awesome, no longer need to plug and unplug devices on my laptop. Have multiple devices drawing power and no problems. The blue LED light on this hub lights up half the room! I've never seen such a bright light on a peripheral before. No need for a night light if this thing is on! Was a bit wary at first, 10 port hub and a power supply all for THAT price! But the previous reviews convinced me it was a good deal, and they're right. Very satisfied with this fine product. If I have one complaint (and this is really nit-picking and a bit anal) it is that the cable to connect to the computer USB is white, I prefer all my cables to be black. Luckily I had an extra black cable on hand.

FantasticOct 28, 2009

This product is wonderful! For so long I've made a habbit of having to unplug various components that weren't in use at the time to make room for things I did want to use. That of course involved getting on the floor, figuring out which cable went where, etc. Such a pain....
Now i just have my hub sitting on top of my PC with all of my USB devices going to it and it's taken so much of that hassle away and then need to unplug things all together! Now I can have all of my things plugged in and ready to go at all times.
So easy to get, so easy to set up, this was really made with the consumer in mind...
Great product!!!

SFE 10 Port HubJan 28, 2010
By John L. Holt I have had many hubs over the years. This hub is hands down the best hub I have ever used. One thing could bother some people and that is it has a blue power light that is on all the time. It is almost like a night light. It is no problem for me. This is a handsome well built hub. I have found hubs that when I first turn on my computer that I might have to disconnect a USB peripheral and plug it back in to have the item work. Not so with this hub. I am going to trash my hub at my office and switch to this one. My other is at home. If you need a real hub you cannot go wrong here. Not that it matters but I use the hub with a Mac.

Works greatOct 16, 2009
By Kim Mansfield I have purchased all kinds of USB hubs tryiing to find one that works. I have had belkins and a host of other hubs that worked but had problems. Some times a device wouldn't be recognized or not work at all. You would have to plug and unplug it several times to get it to work. This hub is different. I've never had a failure with it. It works great and is very reliable. I would recommend this to anyone who has multiple USB devices that need to be connected at the same time.
