 Eject Button Stopped WorkingMay 03, 2009
At first I was pleased with this project. I used it to install all the software I needed from CDs on my Samsung NC10 netbook. I have not tried using it to write DVDs or CDs. However, after only infrequently using this unit over the past few months, the eject button is apparently broken. The only I can get the door open is to pry it open with my hands. That works, but it's not ideal.

Let me start by assuring you that this is a great product despite its affordable price tag and regardless of the negative comments of other folks. I purchased the Dekcell dvd drive for use with my Asus 900HA. I wanted to be able to load programs from a cd rom and to access photos that I had saved to discs. I took a chance on this item because of its low price and considering that I would not be using it excessively. To my delighted surprise this is a solid, well made piece of equipment. As soon as I attached it to my laptop the Asus 900ha with windows xp recognized the new hardware and prompted me to set up. I loaded Windows Office 2007 and Photoshop 4 with ease. I have since used it load photos and music onto my Asus or to simply view and enjoy videos and movies. It has performed flawlessly! I would reccommend this to anyone who wants a slim, portable and well constructed external dvd drive for use with a small laptop.

The test rates there was very fast (including DVD DL +R speed 24.3x)
I used this device with Windows XP, Windows 7 Ultimate (Beta) and Windows Vista Home, just only plug without more configurations.
Work very well with Nero, but NTI doesn't see the device.
The case is sensible to the press, if you push up to down it the CD/DVD tray doesn't close.
I recommend it.

He usado este dispositivo con Windows XP, Windows 7 Ultimate (Beta) and Windows Vista Home, solo lo conecté sin más configuraciones.
Trabaja con Nero muy bien, pero NTI no ve el dispositivo.
La caja es sensible a la presión, si tu la presionas de arriba para abajo la bandeja del CD/DVD no cierra.
Lo recomiendo.

I bought this product I month ago and I have not been able to use it. It says it is corrupted even though I have the system requirements Windows XP. This is not plug and play!!!! What a waste of money.... now too late o return! YOU do not waste your money too!!! BTW, I tried it on many laptops and desktops and it just doesn't work
