One highly rated dealer had the lowest price until I noticed that his 4 pack was for a 940XL black and three 940 REGULAR size color cartridges rather than for four 940XL cartridges. I then realized that his price was actually very high.

The printer that uses this ink, an HP Officejet 8500 Pro, prints as well as any printer I've had. And fast. But its biggest advantage is the capacity of these ink cartridges and their low per page cost. Compared to the cartridges in my other printers, these seem to last forever.

The new 940 ink cartridges are difficult to find in most discount outlets. This is original the original HP product in proper HP packages. It is offered at a most welcome reduced cost.

These are not genuine 940XL HP cartridges. They are some kind of bootleg version from Singapore. The ink started to run out after half a day of very light use. By comparison, the regular (non XL) cartridges I had before these lasted two months.
Do not waste your money.
