overclocks really well , unclocked multiplier really helps a lot..boosted some more muscle power for my 8800GT SLI setup

With a heat tolerant X38 or 48 chipset motherboard from Asus or Gigabyte this CPU can be overclocked to nearly 4 GHz with the supplied fan, using no fancy cooling devices. Worth every penny. The standard (not Xtreme) processors will get flaky and hot well under that speed.

Extreme I guess is regarding the price for this Processor, don't bother, believe me been there done that, stay with Intel Quad Core 2.8 GHz save $$$$$$$$$
