I bought this LG slim combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM unit to replace original Compaq Presario 2800 CD-ROM unit (HP part nbr. 285285-001). I don't know much about computers and I was afraid it didn't fit into my laptop but I took the chance given that the lowest price I found for the original unit was US$ 429 and I just paid US$ 50 + shipping and handling for this unit instead. It fitted well and it is faster than original unit. I am very pleased with this purchase.
