1Recycled From A LandFillMar 26, 2010

Don't waste your time or your hard earned money on this Bad Boy. Mine must have been used in IRAQ, it's pretty banged up,the battery is not chargeable, there's a unbearable smell of wet paint from where someone repainted the silver lid. This was advertised as a referb, but it's more like someone found it on the dump and spray painted it to look good. You have to open up the windows when using it, the smell is that bad. Back To Amazon it goes and then hopefully back to the landfill where it came from.

5Great price for a well built lap topApr 05, 2010

I bought this Toughbook from Amazon based on prior experience. This partilar one has a few scratches on the outer cover and the package has been open before.(the factory seal has been retaped)The battery held a long charge. 5-6 hours of use. The antenna pulled out and it is not broken. Everything work as promised. Now if you are expecting a new lap top for 1/10 of it's original price, you should buy a new netbook. But if you want a tough as nail laptop for cheap then this is a great deal. I plan to use this in my auto repair shop as diagnostic scan tool and the toughbook is the best choice. I had bought the same Toughbook from another online competitor and it came in with a dead battery and broken antenna. so I returned and try Amazon. To my luck, this one worked as advertised. Will recommend this to any one looking for a Heavy Duty Lap top.

Remember this is refurbished!!!! It means previously used, repainted, cleaned and updated, repair as needed. has all the battle scar of years of use.
If you want a new pretty computer, then do not buy this. But if you want a tested, proven, all weather use computer and want the look of a well designed "TANK", Buy this before it is all gone.

1junk,junk,junk, oh yeah, junk. did I say junkMay 02, 2010

I went through three. first one, touch screen did not work, power would shut off, second one was beat to crap. it looked like it was in war, then they threw paint on it. it stinked,it looked like I had a 1st grader paint it for me.the third one, well that was painted grey and black,it looked bad. you could see through some of the paint where people written words on the outside of the case.but this one had DEAD BUGS IN IT.... YES DEAD BUGS....ROACHES ON THE KEYBOARD AND SCREEN. NASTY NASTY NASTY.

however, customer service was great. and it was not there fault.they use a third party to buy these. they put my money back and felt sorry for me.they were upset that I had to go through this time after time.

1Do not buy!Oct 07, 2010

Trust me, please! please! do not buy it. I bought one from eBay, it was so bad. I had a tough time returning it. eBay gave me a hard time. And when I would only give them my name, phone, and address that was not good enough, they wanted a copy of my passport because I had an accent. I said no, and they closed my account. So I tried again, and bought it this time from Amazon. I like Amazon, but the computer turned on only once, and stopped working. I can return it, but I give up, I do not want the stress. I think Panasonic are bad computers. I can understand why the eBay did not work, because it was like an old Scruffy dog. But the amazon looked better, but still broken. I wanted a tough computer because I rescue injured and homeless animals, and some of the animals can destroy a laptop or a keyboard within a second. If you see a good feedback, trust me it is a dishonest feedback. Most likely it is a seller. You cannot even find new parts for it, no harddrive, battery, or DVD drive. If you see one on eBay, it is not new, and the part costs as much as what I paid for the computer.

4Not bad for the price.Apr 04, 2010

This ToughBook is used and shows the sign of some wear. But for the price I must say I can deal with it. The keyboard and screen are like new. Latches and doors are in good working condition. The battery didn't seem to charge right away. But after letting it sit for a while did the trick. Yes there is a new paint smell, but I'm an ex-model builder so this means nothing to me. This thing is really built well. I can see why it listed for much more new. I never could have justified the full price, but at this price it's a steal.
