`Quite HappyApr 06, 2010

I am quite happy with my Samsung LN19C450. I was almost scared off by the reviews of other Samsumg 19" TVs and the comments on "tinny" sounds, but decided to give it a shot given my satisfaction with my large 46" Samsung LN46A950 TV. I was replacing a 1yr old Magnavox 15" LCD HDTV, which was quite weak on sound. I rate the sound of the 19" Samsung as very nice. I'm not sure if it is improved over previous models (seems to have the same specs), or if other reviewers expected 46"sized TV sound.

THE top small TV solutionJan 09, 2011
By Vincent Vallarine III I purchased 4 TVs to do a side-by-side comparison and the results are below:
1. Philips 19PFL3505D/F7 19-Inch - Nice TV, it actually was almost on par with the Samsung, but lost to the Samsung in sound quality. Off axis viewing was good.
2. VIZIO M190MV 19-inch - Sound was much more 'tinny' like than I wanted. LED TV, so it was thin, which was nice. Off axis viewing was good. Remote was nice and slim. 2 HDMI inputs was nice.
3. ViewSonic N1630w 16-Inch - Just too small for my room. Blacks were not as dark as the others. Sound wasn't as full. Off axis viewing was decent.
4. Samsung LN19C450 19-Inch - The best TV of the bunch. Blacks were the 'blackest'. The most full sounding TV in this size that I've ever heard. Tops in off axis viewing also.
The picture washes out a bit with all LCD TV's, don't be fooled by anyone that says otherwise. This Samsung, however seemed to perform the best in this regard and overall.
And the winner is: Samsung LN19C450 19-Inch

Nice TV for small spacesSep 14, 2010
By Tightwad We have installed this 19" TV in a corner near our computer so we can watch while we cruise the net or work. We had a tiny 9" TV in that spot that was alright but with our aging eyes we needed a bigger screen to watch. This Samsung is perfect for that small job with no complaints at all. One point that I want to note......The sound with this TV in the corner is GREAT being neither to loud or to soft.
Over all we find this Samsung to be a winner and this from a serious die hard Sony TV man !!!!

Excellent TV at great priceSep 28, 2010
By S Greene I purchased this very TV when it first came out and it's perfect for our guest room. Excellent color, easy to set up.
A short while ago, I needed to choose a TV for my Dad who is now in assisted living residence. When I saw this was available -- now at half what I paid -- it was a no-brainer. It's the perfect size, hooks right up to the residence's TV service, and has excellent closed captions. He's thrilled with it!
Also want to mention that you don't need to have HD service to get a very good picture.
