5Love this bag!Apr 20, 2011
By Elysium
I have the small size for my 13" MacBook and it fits perfectly. It is large enough to hold the charger and a few cords in one pocket in the front and my kindle in the other as well. It is water-resistant so I don't worry as much about walking in the rain anymore. Also, I can attest to how well it protects the computer: I fell on the ice this winter and my bag hit the ground pretty hard. Thankfully, my computer was just fine!
If you just need a computer bag and don't really need anything else to go in it, I'd say this is the perfect bag for you. Plus Timbuk2 bags hold up so well. I've had quite a few and have never had any trouble with damage.

5For the 11" Macbook AirDec 21, 2010
By Laurel
I love Timbuk2 bags, and I was thrilled to discover that the extra-small (XS) size Quickie would be a perfect fit for my new 11" Air.

The "bubble" orange foam interior feels sturdy enough to keep the laptop safe. There are flaps on the inside of the zipper to prevent scratches. The two exterior pockets under the flap seem generous and sturdy, though I don't use them much myself. Note that there is a typically noisy velcro closure over the exterior pockets. The main pocket has a nice, stealthy zipper, though.

The extra-small size has only the two hand-carrying handles, no shoulder strap. Little pockets allow you to tuck away the handles when they're not in use. I carry my Quickie sleeve inside a Timbuk2 Cargo Tote, where it's nice and sleek and convenient.

I realize it's a little pricey, but it's a really, really nice bag. Great quality, perfect fit.

5Another Great Timbuk2 Bag!Dec 18, 2010
By SeriouslyHappy
I first found Timbuk2 while searching online about 6 years ago. Back then I purchased a messenger style bag. It is the best bag I've purchased. That bag went everywhere and has held up great. My parents gave me an early Christmas present of a new laptop this year and I was so excited because I knew that I would get to purchased another Timbuk2 bag. I came across the Quickie bag because I don't need another big one. I just needed one that I could tote around the house and also slip into my backpack if I did want to take it to class. The Quickie is perfect! The Medium holds my 15" snuggly and has room for my powerbrick and my mouse. I love how sleek it is and I was surprised to see how sturdy it is since it's such a thin bag. I have no doubts this bag will be just as impressive as my old messenger bag has been. I will not buy any other brand of bags for my computers!! Also, the price is great on here because it retails for 50 bucks plus shipping. I was willing to pay the retail but at the last minute decided to check ol' trusty Amazon and once again they delivered.

5A great bag for pedestriansApr 24, 2012

I walk all over the place to meet with clients and work on-site, so I've spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect laptop bag. The Quickie (a dumb name) has replaced my previous go-to, a much larger Keen bag. There's just enough space in the main pocket for my netbook, a Lenovo X120e, plus a pad of paper. I keep pens, a flexible water bottle, and a mouse in the external pockets so that I have everything I need.

The light weight and comfortable strap make it perfect for carrying around. I got the green version and I've also gotten some compliments on the looks, which is a first!

To make it perfect, Timbuk2 would add a small external pocket to hold my earbuds. I could put them in the area where the handles fold down, but it's so shallow that I'm afraid they would fall out.

5The Perfect Case?Apr 19, 2012
By James A. King
Well this case is wonderful but I don't think I'd go so far to say it's perfect so maybe near perfect. I was given a gift card for our locally owned Mac Store and at the same time I was shopping for a case for my MacBook Pro 13 as well as my iPad 2 they had this case in size small and size extra small in black so I picked up both bags. I am glad I had the gift card because the price was at full retail and if I were paying cash I would have purchased then here at my favorite store. Anyway that was several months ago and I have to say I've never regretted the purchase because this was the last cases I will purchase for my MBP and iPad but they were not the first. I tried several other cases by several makers and until I tried these cases I just wasn't at all happy. What I like about this style case is that it fits both the iPad and MBP but they are not so bulky as to feel like I am carrying bricks in my bags. There is one shortcoming to few pockets. I like extra pockets and these bags just fit what I need to carry without much extra room. So after trying 6-8 cases and buying 2 others I find these to be the closest to perfect that I could find and price was really no object.
I was willing to spend more but I didn't need to after finding these Timbuk2 cases.
